How to open a digital camera after pushing the format button then turned it off?

How can i open my Digital Camera ?Im just looking at the settings of my Digital Camera then when i looked at the photos it was all gone.well i expected that.but when i turned it off then tried to turn it on again it won't turn on.what will i do?

Not 100% sure I understand you, but it would be useful to know the Brand and model of the camera.

If you pressed "format" your photos have been deleted. Thats what the format button does.

You can try data recovery software on your computer to recover them. I use Pandora Recovery and PC Inspector Smart Recovery. Both are free. Links are below.
