Which camera, under $300, takes the best self-portraits?

My ideal budget is about $300, and the camera should be able to take a good picture, one that will make me looks as I do in real life.

All you want to do is take pictures of yourself?

I've never heard of a camera that could take pictures of itself. Actually I've never heard of a camera that could take good pictures. I have heard of people who are knowledgeable about photography and have used a camera to make good pictures.

If you plan to hold the camera at arm's length to take your own picture, there isn't any camera that will make you look good. The reason? The camera is way too close to your face and distorts your features, so you need to put the camera on a tripod and use the timer. If you do that, most every camera in your price range will do a good job. Try the Canons.
