looking for great quality digital camera ...?
ok, so currently i have a Casio Exilim EX-Z55, 5mp digi camera. i LOVE my camera !! but since it is only 5mp, i want to upgrade to a 10 or 12 mp camera. now, i am looking for a nice little camera that i can stow away in my camera bag that i put on my belt (due to riding roller coasters, i need my camera to be compact to be able to take them on the ride with me in the camera case.) anyways, i am looking for a camera that will take pictures in rapid succession and also something that has a great picture quality .... any suggestions ?!?! thanks :)
i am planning on making big prints. that is why i want more mp's. but thanks for the input :)
plus i am looking for a small camera that has rapid fire succession. i hate taking a picture with my camera and then it takes forever to be able to take another one and then the moment is gone.
i want to upgrade to a camera that i can take pictures in succession. that is what i really want. anyone help ???
so obviously nobody can help me. i am looking for a compact poin
I would suggest the Canon PowerShot SD780. It has 12 megapixels, HD video recording, and it's compact - about the size of a credit card. You can get this camera for just about $200.

What will you do with more megapixels? Will you be enlarging a photo within a photo? I could see upgrading for more features or more zoom.

Youre going to have to do a lot of research to find what you want. The Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ35 isnt a small point n shoot. I dont know if you want a camera this large for your usage. Here are the continuous shooting specs for the DMC-FZ35
Full-Resolution Image, 2.3 frames/sec Max. 5 images-Standard, Max 3 images-Fine
High-speed Burst Mode: approx. 6.0 frames/sec-Image
approx. 10 frames/sec-Speed
(recorded in 3M for 4:3, 2.5M for 3:2, 2M for 16:9)
It seems the burst mode is faster but only at 3.2mp resolution max. I would have to read the manual for a more detailed explanation.
The trouble is most small point n shoots dont have very high continuous shooting frame rates. Typically they are around 1.5fps. Some like Fuji offer higher rates but only with restrictions like shooting only in certain camera modes or shooting only at 3mp resolution.
Youre going to have to do a lot of reading to find the size camera you want with the frame rate you want using the shooting mode and resolution you want. I dont even know if all the intermediate cameras will do what you ask for.
